I just got my parents a set of Senn 201s and realized that the on-board sound was even worse than expected and was wondering if I could drive them to an acceptable volume with the av-710.

If not, what are some good no external amped options?

And to answer your question about the AV710, it is definitely not recommended to plug the HD201's directly into the line out of the Wolfson DAC on the Chaintech. If you don't plan on buying an amp, try the Turtle Beach Audio Advantage card discussed in the thread above.
