Sup guys!
 
I have a big dilemma, I am looking for a solid state Dac/Amplifier for my Shure SHR840.
 
I want something that will last for a while and will not give me issues, I live in South Africa and i can't afford to have a defective unit as shipping it back to wherever for repairs can be a very expensive exercise. 
 
I have my eyes on the
 
Audioengine D1
or
Schiit Magni and the Schitt Modi "stack"
 
 
They will cost the same for me, because of shipping.
 
In you guys opinion what is the best option? Has any of you guys tried both or have a insight on the situation?

EDIT:  Did not read first post carefully.  I was going to recommend a tube DAC/amp but now see you said solid state

no problem... 
I did look at it to be honest... but i will also use my Shure SE215 LTD, and tube, at least the less expense models, are a little bit too noise for IEMs.
