Hello,
I've accidently tore up some strings from my Audio-Technica ES7 (I was running and it got caught in something =/). Anyways, I went to a shop and asked if they could repair them and they said they would just sew the cables back together, but the technician called me today and said that he'd have to change the whole cable instead and it'll cost me 100$ (60$ for the cable + cash to pay the technician). I paid 60$ for these headphones (the J&R special in april) and I wouldn't want to spend that much more to get it replaced. I've read that you can modify the cable yourself if you bought another cable and it didn't look THAT hard to mod (though I can't seem to find that thread).
So what I'm asking is what cable should I buy for my ES7', where to buy it (I live in Montreal if that helps and I don't mind buying online) and also how easy it is to do manually (pictures and explanations is greatly appreciated)?
Thanks guys!
