Nah, the L3000 tied for 1st but a virtual third? But how can the AD2000 be third? But the W5000 should be first... but...

These rankings are difficult to make and are my general impressions of each headphone. Depending on the music, the L3000 may be a solid first, or the AD2000. The W5000 just seems to be the one I prefer most of the time.

It is time for the Fitz mode as performed by SK138 on the A950LTDs. You need to try that before you sell them.

This is making me really tempted. I am in a fix now, between selling away the K601, get the AD2000 and go ampless, or getting the CanAmp and pairing it with the K601. All this, with the CD5001.

No rush though, I'll probably only make the decision by the end of the year.

I ordered these today, and they'll be my first pair of decent headphones. Although their source will be rather weak (M Revolution 5.1 PCI sound card), from the looks of this thread I should be happy with them.

Welcome to head-fi. The AD2000 is a great headphone, even with a mediocre source they can sound very good. Good choice..

Absolutely... definitely... unquestionably... positively... unequivocally... one of the best whether portable amp/source or not!
