Hi,

Is it possible to connect a usb cable to my mobile (in this case a GalaxyS3) and use it to audio in/out?
For example, use my headset (mic+sound) to use skype on my mobile or take a call.

I'm asking it because I want to build a dock where I would have everything connect on the dock permanently and it wouldn't be necessary take off my phone from the dock every time anyone calls me.

Thanks.

Hook this up to a spare pair of inputs on your interface/receiver.

This device works with iPhone/iPad. It won't be long before many others do as well and include Android support.

It still looks a bit flaky and for early adopters only atm but it won't take long before they nail it.

Which model S3 has a USB out? You could hook up a analogue 3.5 > USB (or S/PDIF) adaptor but why bother?

Yes it can using USB OTG, Read all about that here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/595071/android-phones-and-usb-dacs

BTW here's how I'm using it:

Android phone > dock > USB OTG adapter* > headset**

**there's a Google doc link in the thread I linked above, updated by DanBa every five pages. I've seen some headsets listed there as well.
