Thanks for pointing that out. I've emailed Kingwa to see if we can get a price and output specs. I'm hoping that the amp on the Reference 10 is as powerful as the Master 6.

The fact that Input 1 is AES/EBU is a subtle but firm suggestion on Kingwa's behalf that this is aimed at serious enthusiasts and
 even professionals.

Any updates on this? It's supposed to drop in a little over two weeks but I still don't see a price anywhere yet.

Not sure about price but these will be rare - Kingwa is talking about 500 pieces of PCM1704UK here and there.

The Ref 7.1 is set to roll out again (backorders and current) at 8 x pieces per unit - where does this leave the
Reference 10 which will take 4 x pieces per unit?

 Hmmm,.,

I'm not liking the reality of that observation...

What will happen of course if demand is consistently high is that we will see a ESS018 Sabre or possibly even
a dual Wolfson 8741 version of the Ref 10 - no shortage of chippery there.

On the second hand market this will create two resale prices, no prizes for guessing the PCM model will be
 the expensive jewel.

I knew this will cost as much as a reference 7.1, just look at what it offers. REF7.1 + Master5 is a little bit better but almost twice the price, but at least it's top of the (chinese) line. :)

Available for pre-order. Anyone going to be the first to bite and post a review?

It's interesting that AGD has been quiet about the new 24/192 USB capability.  I don't use USB myself but that's huge news and puts them back up with the big boys.  Probably less of an issue with the ref10 since it uses the 1704UK R2R DAC design (which is considered 24/96 (though the most sought after 24/96))

I think I want one.  Have to sell some other stuff to get it, or come out of retirement and get a job.  WAIT A MINUTE.....!  Did I say "get a job...?"

There's something seriously wrong with me.  Call the doctor, call the priest....
