Price for Ref7 on UK's AmpCity: AmpCity - The UK's headphone amp specialists - Audio Gd FUN

Why is it so much more expensive in UK? Am I missing something? Anyone has positive feedback on Audiophonics?

OMG only 990€ on audiophonics ! That even cheaper than directly to audio-gd website and even with the euro conversion that lower the price ! 1300€ ($1750)

That sound like a price error but it is a hell of a bargain ! And yes Audiophonics is a well known French retailer for DIY parts.

i think they made a mistake because Audiophonics have the prices a little bit higher than ampcity for other audio-gd dacs. from what i see audiophonics got the wrong pictures for DAC19, and for some reason if i want to go to checkout it says i don't have cookies activated (with all browsers).

Yeah I also noticed their prices are higher for other DACs. I will send them an email.

Well, I got a reply from audiophonics few minutes ago regarding the Ref.7: they confirmed the price is 990 euro :-O
Shipping to UK is about 25 euro. That's a great price!!!
I don't know what to do now: I placed an order for the REF.5 with Kingwa and already paid for it, but the DAC has not been shipped yet. The Ref.7 is tempting

That strange that they have a price even lower than direct from audio-gd will the DAC19 DSP is at 600€, but that a wonderful bargain, too bad i don't have enough money right now.

edit : the price is now at 1690€ it was of course a error ...

hawkhead did you heard any audio-gd dac? I am wondering how they compete with Abrahamsen V6, especially the dac19.
