I'm not sure the best route to go. I have a M-Audio Firewire 410 right now, which sounds great with my studio monitors. I plan on getting both. Looking for first purchase decision.

Does the Compass have enough amp in it to warrant bypassing my 410's DAC? Or should I get the PH100 first and stick with the 410 DAC for now?

source -> 410 (bypass) -> Compass -> Cans?
source -> 410 -> Shanling PH100 -> Cans?

What's the DAC chip on the 410?
