My father has a vintage octave equalizer and real time spectrum analyzer that he uses with his speaker set up (Paradigm 11se's with Luxman lv105 if anyone is interested) and I was wondering if anyone has tried using one of these to with a microphone to equalize headphones and then using a software equalizer on a Mac to substitute it?
I was thinking of having the mic in between the headphones and playing pink noise through the equalizer and my amp (when I get it) and having some kind of loop to get the desired effect.
not mine, same model though
tl;dr
Will a hardware equalizer work with headphones and an amp and can software equalization substitute it afterward?
