Hey all,

Just wanted to give a shout out for my fave headphones, the Audio-Technica w2002. I know there aren't a lot of fans of their sound signature, but to me they totally draw me into the music and create an emotionally engaging experience that I haven't replicated with a different setup, despite trying a few other cans including the L3000 and W5000. Anyways, just wanted to see if there were any other fans still enjoying their w2002's and wanted to share the love.

I have not heard the W2002 yet but I do have the W11jpn and I used to own the W10vtg. Both gave me emotional eargasmic engaging experience! L3000 and W5000 are less focused on the liquidy smooth seducing mids that the W11 and W10 provide. I

I currently also own a pair of W2002 but haven't listened to them in quite a while. While they do sound great and have an excellent level of detail and soundstage, I prefer the L3000 as it delivers a more balanced sound and more bass than the W2002 to my ears.

I would really like to try these someday, but they're just too expensive and rare to get as a "side" headphone when already owning the L3000.
I just love the way they look, they're like a big version of the ESW10JPN.

I love them too and use to own couple of them in my days. I found them sounded best with the AT-HA2002 amplifier. The midrange combo and resolution was extremely impressive when uses with the AT amp. The W2002's midrange is a bit warmer, and slightly more congested with other amps that I've tried with them. They are an absolute beauty though. I also prefer the L3000 better.

I wonder how the w3000's would stack up against those..
