Hello there, just bought an old Audio-Technica AT-706 electret. I've been eyeing one for awhile just to mess around with, though I know that it's not going to compare to any proper electrostats. Now the condenser box switch seems to have a problem with audio. At the moment it only outputs audio if I hold the switch slightly below the "low" switch and nothing near the "high" section. Now I'm assuming this may be down to contacts or something but I do not know the safety of using some sort of contact cleaner on the switch and if that will even allow me to get the "high" switch working. Thanks to anyone who can help.
