Read lin0003's review a while back and ordered a pair of AX35 from AliExpress. Just got them a couple days ago and stumbled across this thread. I've been enjoying them with my Fiio X3 with and without my E12 DIY (BUF634 + OPA604).

First impression was a big WOW for the price I paid! Popped them in at work and probably looked like a fool smiling and bopping my head along with my tunes . As a reference, I usually use Fischer Audio DBA02, Meelectronics A161, or Sunrise Xcape v2 for IEMs. On first impression, the Astrotec AX35 keeps up with the pack. Curious to see how they break in .

Do yourselves a favor and go buy a pair. They're not that expensive .

Thanks for the review. The AX35 wouldn't have been on my radar otherwise. Great, economic way to get into hybrid earphones without sacrificing SQ.

I find the AX-30 to be more analytical and having less bass than Fidelio S2 and Zero Audio Tenore, but I think more than RE-400, GR07 MK II, and A161p from what I can remember.  The bass is clean, but not as deep sounding.  Still burning and will test more before I put them in my sig.
 
People say the AX-30 has more bass than the AX-35.

Haven't had any issues with SQ due to low impedance.
