If anyone decides to sell their ps100 power supply please PM me.
There is no background noise, absolute black. How's the noise floor of this with the stock opamps + PS100Pro ?
I'm considering buying it to use with my Hiby R6 Pro II (if anyone ever tested this combination I would apreciate some insight too).
Although I don't particulary intent on using the A100TB with my very sensitive SoundRhyme SR8, as I would likely use the unit with some earbuds and more high impedance IEMs I plan to get in near future, I would wish to see the performance on my SR8. Has anyone here tested the stock opamps with super sensitives IEMs like the SR8 or even the Andromeda ?
What about earbuds ? I have a TGXEar Sunniva and although I love the sound of them, I find it very lacklustering on just the R6 Pro II alone, especially in comparison to my YULONG Aurora. Is the A100TB able to drive Earbuds (180omh+ impedance ones) with ease ?
I was looking for PA10 from A&K too, but I found some postings stating that this would be much better, and as I don't plan to buying a new DAP anytime soon, I want to get an amp that is on the same level as the R6P2. I wouldn't be missing the Class-A amp from the PA10 I assume, right ? And this has the same black background as PA10 ?
Sorry for so many questions, but as that would be my first portable amp, I really would like to know more before making any decisions.
Is that SS3602 ? What you use for input gain ?
Great combo.
Well, it's there in the photo, but you can't see it, it's inside and I use it for input gain.Is that SS3602 ? What you use for input gain ?
I also use SS3602 for voltage gain
Get you! I think I will try the Ss2590 pro for the output gain and Alfra AS402 and the sonice image. Have you tried to remove the battery from A100TB? It seems mine stuck inside. Can't be removed. I want to make more room for the op ampsWell, it's there in the photo, but you can't see it, it's inside and I use it for input gain.
What you see in the photo is the Sonic Imagery Labs 994. It is used for voltage gain.
And this is only one of the possible options, but I don't use this combination very often.
Mostly I use SS3602 for input gain. Options are also possible - OPA2111km + SS3602, if you need something compact. Also SS3602 + SS2590 Pro or SS3602 + Staccato OSH for desktop use. Both combinations are great.
I also sometimes pair the SS3602 with an Alfa AS402 or occasionally a Burson V6 Vivid. However, I prefer the combination with the Alfa AS402 in the input gain and the mentioned Staccato or SS2590 Pro in the voltage gain.
I did not try to remove the battery from the amp. For the A100, there is enough space to accommodate two amplifiers, if you take into account the possibility of placement at different heights, etc.Get you!
