From the auction: "* Please Note * Made in China. This is not originally made by Apple but it has the same quality of the OEM Apple In-Ear Earbuds."

They are not the same quality. They use a crappy poorly-designed dynamic driver shoehorned into a shell that resembles the real thing. They sound like crap.

Besides that disclaimer, you can tell by the box posted in the auction. The link to the picture is of a real set to deceive people who don't know better.

Brand New Apple iPod In-Ear Headphones M9394G/C - eBay (item 220438951143 end time Sep-18-09 14:17:14 PDT)

thanks in advance!

Those aren't the ADDIEMs. They're the old generation in-ears that use a dynamic driver and sound like rotten butter.

Honestly, how could you make the mistake? The picture in that auction looks nothing like the picture in this thread, and the picture in this thread is of a real pair.

I once made the mistake of buying the IEMs in that eBay auction. They are original Apple IEMs for sure, but are the old generation, as 3XO pointed out. They don't just sound like crap, they also have a horrendous fit for most (if not all) people.
