SQ aside, is there anything that cancels noise better than Bose? I mean, they invented the technology for gods sake! and the new QC15s now have dual microphones and earpads with a supposedly better seal.

Not looking into buying. just curious.

closed headphones are better.
otherwise ATH ANC7B is good. Cancels just as well and sounds a lot better.
Be warned that itll only cancel out very static noise like an aeroplane engine (which every ANC phone does)

I should say a constant noise (such as a plane engine) since ANC headphones don't really work for anything else.

I have a co-worker who has the JVC HA-NC250 and likes them. I've never heard them, don't really know his taste, other than he liked my Yuin PK1s, or even what he means when he says he likes the JVCs. I also know nothing else about the headphones, so this isn't a recommendation, but just putting them out there as another option to explore.

The Sennheiser PXC450 seems to make less noise when working in noise cancelling mode. (They all seem to introduce varying amounts of hiss. However, the Senns are not cheap.

I don't get the purpose of NC headphones when all they do is eliminate one kind of noise at the expense of a more bothersome other kind of constant background noise/hiss.
