Right now I'm using optical to my fiio dac from my lg cx TV for audio. It's my pc and media source amd I use headphones for all audio.

My current everything headphones are the focal clears.


Problem, I can't currently take advantage of Any of the surround sound options while streaming on Netflix and other services.

I know there is that Smyth research a16 realizer, but I don't have 4 grand to drop on a dac. Is there ANYTHING else on the market that is closer to the earth that does a decent job?

The Soundblaster G6 has optical in and USB, and 5.1 mode works pretty well if you don't use the additional sound effects in the software. It's got decent power too, in low gain SINAD is 112. On Creative Labs factory refurbished page I think they're $69 with free shipping and warranty.
