I just invested in a wonderful DAP - the Hiby RS6. In a word: luxurious. Is it feasable to find a portable DAC/Amp that enhances the sound signature of my RS6, not just make it louder? I want to achieve a sense of synergy.

A supposedly "high-end" DAP should already have an excellent DAC and amp section that can rival a high end portable DAC/amp. It doesn't make sense to replace an excellent internal DAC/amp with an external one without some very solid reasoning behind it. Certainly it should be more than just 'synergy'.

For 100 years, high fidelity has been enhanced by innovation, research & development. Now, the added feature from a - z is size. Not just "better", but we now strive for a nanotech sense of smaller. I would like to believe we're still capable of improving around the edges for an overall better experience. Not perfect, just better! Thanks for writing.
