It would be handy if I could find a source of [free] ready made models of parts.
Can anyone help?

I know you can easily make precise some from datasheets or by eye using Sketchup. That program is like crack, very addictive.

Hi pacemkr
Thanks for the suggestion.
So I have already made a start with doing my own after having no luck in
searching for ready made stuff.

It is useful having pdf data sheets as the drawing can be saved as DXF files
and used a the basis a a model.
Unfortunately most of the pdf data sheets I have located are locked!

So I have to work from scratch.
Here is a WIP of a to 220 plus heat sink.

Very very nice!
Here is what I had. Helped a great deal when actually building it.

I already mounted the front panel switches and knobs and realised that the Meier Crossfeed needs an input buffer.

The middle knob and toggle switch are for the crossfeed so I cant really use the modified linkwitz now. Probably just going to keep it without the input buffer see what comes out. Heh.

Wow, you guys are d*mn good with Sketchup. I totaly suck at it.

If you just want 3d pics of a board, you can always try Eagle 3D. just place the parts in eagle (you wont need to run any traces if you just want a pic), run the ulp, load it in pov-ray and fini, you have a 3d picture of your pcb.
