Trying to search in the "headphones for sale" forum. Search for "Sennheiser" returns results starting at 2016, and jumping around from there, some clear back to 2004, but NOT returning results that have just been posted in the last day or two. I can see there are posts when I am paging through the threads, but they are not returned from search results.

Don't know what is going on, but this is going to have a negative effect on anyone selling.

Yes, and why does the general search default to member name instead of searching for the term we type in the dialogue box?

I have to go to Advanced Search and type my search term(s) again in the exact same box to search for the term and not the member name. Been this way since inception.
