Before about two weeks ago, iTunes downloads were acceptably fast on my connection - taking only a couple seconds to complete - and songs previewed instantly, no buffering required. Now, both activities are at best sluggish and at worst simply unuseable. Song previews are interrupted on a near second-by-second basis to buffer, and even small downloads (<10mb) can take up to 7 minutes to finish.
The problem, I've noticed, seems not confined to iTunes itself, but instead affects nearly all system functions that operate through Apple's various servers. The latest iTunes software - a 70mb file - took around 30 minutes to download completely, for example.
Anyone else out there experiencing these kind of speed-woes?
