I've played every iteration of this series into the ground, and I cannot wait for the new systems implemented into this version. Bikes, tricks, new boosts, new drifting systems, more variability in karts, online play, leaderboards with downloadable ghost tracks... awesome!

Got a 46" HDTV almost primarily for this, and some NHL playoffs

I'll post my code as soon as I get it! (I know, codes are friggin moronic, but oh well)

the race mode is probably the best so far in any mariokart, but the battle mode is ruined due to forced teamplay and new rules in balloon battle.

HDTV for Mario Kart? You know that the Wii isn't HD right?

I have it pre-ordered and my sons and I are anxiously waiting for the 27th. I have it for Nintendo 64 and the ds we still like playing it on 64.

You know it does 480p and 16:9, right?

I am excited about being about to play it really soon, although I think that I will be using the GC controller.

I have been playing 64 and SNES kart the past few days just to get ready for it.

I was going to get it, but after hearing that they also dumbed down the the mini-turbo boost system (seriously, was that REALLY necessary, Nintendo?), I'm going to take my time in getting it.

Of course, size matters, especially when you have a nice drunken party with others playing splitscreen on the big screen.

I'm not anxious for Mario Kart.

I prefer to shoot things and blow things up.

480p is EDTV, not HDTV. Not worth getting a 1080p TV for. We do have a 720p TV and a Wii, but we didn't get the TV specifically for the Wii, that would be overkill. Anyway, it still looks good

I didn't get a 1080p TV, I got a 1080i CRT RPTV that has a phenomenal scaler. I didn't buy it just for MKWii (I also have a 360) I also never once said that 480p was an HDTV resolution. But if you have a Wii, you have to admit that it looks nicer in 480p 16:9 over component than it does over composite. Don't you try and give me a lecture about resolutions boy, Imma whip you back to last thursday!
