I am in the market for a new DAC to partner with my Little Dot MkIII and DT880 250ohm.
 
I'm interested in the Tubemagic D2, however, search on head-fi and google turn up very little result.
 
Is there any reason why this dac is unpopular?

Reviews for the D2 is quite rare for some reason. Maybe try looking into the Grant Fidelity Tube-DAC11, its popularity is starting to begin on headfi with numerous reviews. You will definitely like it with your setup.

Actually I have one but can't tell the difference from straight out of an Auzen Xraider soundcard.
