Hi

I came across this smartphone brand 'BQ' in Germany. They have 2 good models X5 and M5

Any idea on how this sounds? It looks like X5 packs Cirrus Logic and M5 packs Wolfson DAC

Review of M5:

this phone has very good sound according to:

BUT:
according to:

it has Wolfson WM8281 audio chipset

but according to:
http://www.bq.com/uk/aquaris-m5

it has Cirrus Logic chip

But :)
Wolfson since 2014 is Cirrus

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfson_Microelectronics

so maybe it is the same

Maybe someone already has this phone bought in Germany/England?

I have received BQ Aquarius M5
and....I'm dissapointed (about sound quality).

I can hear hiss (noise?) in quiet parts of song.

I usuasally listen to jazz in the evening on headphones.

I can hear hiss in quiet parts of songs.

Especially when using headphones:
"brainwavz m2" earphones it is clearly audible
on "creative aurvana live" it is hard to notice hiss.

Previously I was using COWON C2 mp3 player - and there was no such a problem.
Additionally this phone suffers the same problem like all phones I tested - first level of volume is too loud on earphones

This problem not exists on the same earphones when using Foobar + Fiio E10

Of course I'm always checking on the same flac file
