Any opinions / reviews on the new McIntosh D100?

I just went all tingly thinking about trying the D100 with that EAR and maybe the Fostex TH900.
Then I looked in my wallet ...

LMAO!

You're not kidding. I blew my audio budget last year!! But I saved for a LONG time to get my E.A.R HP4!
I'd been wanting one for a few years...

That and the D100, or my ALO Studio Six  - whoa.

But then again, the D100 simply rocks as a DAC - using it ahead of my Schiit Vali right now - its liquid, but also
has fantastic air and depth. Man I'm glad I bought the D100 - but I had to work a few extra jobs to pull that off!
It was worth every cent though - I LOVE it.

Hey Mike.. went to a McIntosh dealer today and was offered the D100 at a good price (Canadian) but he recommended the Naim DAC-V1 over the D100.  Still almost $1K less than the D100.  Have you heard the Naim?  Jude seems to really like it.  Had to sell my first Naim to fund the MXA70 system which is now more than $3K more than what I paid.  Nearly fainted.
Anyway, all is good now that I have the McIntosh and the Naim DAC-V1 back again :)
