Hello guys,
i wonder if there are relatively cheap dacs with i2s input out there, i usually just see them above 1000 euro or so preferably with AKM chip
reason is that i might wanna play around with AK4137 hardware upsampling and a dac with i2s input would allow me to build an adapter box usb to i2s where its upsampled to DSD256 between the pc and dac and therefore using a good "proofen" layout good sounding/measuring one would save me from making an complete dac build (which i might later still do but a cheap dac at first to test my theory of hardware upsampling to DSD256 making already 50-80% of what hqplayer can actually do (with delta sigma chips) without needing performance, wasting power on the fly etc and combatible with any usb input and/or digital inputs and source material without latency issues
