Another hobby to replace audio?

I like playing online games a lot :D I often use some casinos online also which are really fun and interesting to play. I don't make much money there, I mostly do it just for fun, and I think it is a really cool way to relax in the evening. What do you think about it? Maybe you can share some games you enjoy the most here? That would be helpful
I'm old school, I love playing cards with actual people. Euchre is one such card game that I love to play, or Cribbage.

In my opinion one of the best hobbies is jazz guitar

One reason is because it’s so cheap. You don’t need an expensive amp nor an expensive guitar and you don’t need much effects pedals. It’s generally cheaper than rock guitar.

Instead of buying excessive gear, you are collecting songs and there are so many ways to play the same song differently. Plus there are so many jazz songs. Possibilities are endless with music variations.

Plus, it’s low volume music so you don’t have to worry about hearing damage.

The downside is that it’s difficult to learn but playing it on a beginner level is still enjoyable and challenging in an interesting way.

Another downside is that learning guitar as an adult is almost impossible for most people but if you already started as a child, it’s easier.

I see you are based in the UK. Depending on your financial resources, mechanical skills (and the availability of garage space), you might consider the world of classic cars or bikes. Choose well, and you may find yourself with an appreciating asset…

Coin collecting, specifically ancient coins

Not as expensive as being an audiophile but also fun if you're into this stuff like I am.

Leather. My last project, a notebook cover. The design isn't completely mine; I liked the stylish looking pen hook on the front and the angled pockets on the inside I had seen on another cover so I incorporated that into mine. it's a Leuchtturm 1917 notebook

Hi everyone.

I've always loved music and hifi audio. unfortunately a few months ago I had an amplifier accident and I've been left with tinnitus and hearing problems. I've tried to get back into headphones since then but it makes things worse and I've had to give up the hobby.

I was wondering if anyone had any other hobbies they are as passionate about? Giving up audio had left an emptiness in my heart and mind, and I'm struglling to find another hobby which is as relaxing and effortless yet stimulating and involving.
Well I do like body building as an hobby and it can release enough dopamine to keep you happy and engaged. It does have some learning but it’s an enjoyable experience

My kids gave me a good quality ukelele a couple of years ago. I practice it for at least 20 minutes a day, and find it a great mindfulness experience. I am enjoying my incremental aptitude improvenents. However, it is a solitary hobby for me. At my age I can remember the chords for several tunes, but not the lyrics! Learn any musical instrument :)

Photography. To keep it simple you can just use your smart phone and apps. Or, go all in for a compact Ricoh GR III or IIIx. It does take time to process images (or you can use JOGs as is), but I find that time relaxing and flow inducing too.

I also love browsing beautiful photo books. Another beautiful sensory experience. To s if styles out there. And the same crazy gear focused forums too 😀

My three passions are music, photography and hiking.

Sorry to hear about your ears. Maybe in time?
