Annoucing the New Brainwavz HM2 Headphones - Foldable Joy & Budget Love
Dec 2, 2015 at 1:18 AM Post #17 of 33
I'm actually quite excited for this one and hope that this is the one Brainwavz nailed.

I wont really be one to use this myself personally since I'm quite into custom monitors... but this looks like something people my age would actually wear!

Awesome and detailed review.

It seems as you and I have similar reviews of the HM2, though mine is about 1/100th the length of yours.

I'm really excited! I ordered one pair before reading the reviews now i'm really glad that i did. Bought them on the BF combo deal so it was $35 ($39 - 10% storewide  coupon) for the HM2, Hengja ($15 value), AP001 amp ($29 value) and Delta IEM (another $25 value)! Amazing value!

  My review's up: http://www.head-fi.org/products/brainwavz-hm2/reviews/14720
Seems like we've all got quite the same thoughts on this model.

Yes, it seems all of our reviews are very similar for the HM2.

I know Brainwavz is always listening to our comments and concerns, so I would not be surprised if a Version 2 is released sooner than later.

Kind of wish we had all got demo versions first, help Brainwavz before mass production.

Haven't read any reviews yet because I was forming my thoughts, but I'm ready now and will start my review today. Curious to see how my thoughts line up with all of yours.

I agree with BloodyPenguin's last sentence for oh so many products!

I'm amazed at how many companies in the community do reach out to us! Truth is, we have it great!
Cheers! :beerchug:

Not very impressed with these.. The treble is very veiled, midrange is boosted, bass doesn't really have much extension and is boomy. After a bit of EQing they sound ok, but still not good. The clamping power is almost too much, I couldn't see myself wearing them for more than a few minutes. But I am used to my Matrix2's with HM5 velour pads.

The build quality seems very good, they get quite loud without much distortion, and they look great.

I mainly got them because the bundle was nice for $40 (Delta, AP001, HM2, Hengja). The Delta IEM's that were included sound better to me. I think my old HD457's have a more balanced sound. Maybe some burn in will help? I just don't see them changing that much.
