Out of curiosity, since these have been out for just about enough time, I'm wondering if anyone has seen, heard or bought the Altec Lansing MuzX Ultra. They're a relatively recent release.

There's a few reviews floating around on the internet but none really go into detail about the sound. Considering its a single BA armature IEM with iPod controls, I'd be interested in how it compares to the other generally recommended options like the Super Fi 5vi, Klipsch S4i, Etymotic MC3 etc

I'd be the guinea pig but I can't get these in Australia. I'm curious, since the design seems pretty interesting.

Considering that the UHP606 is a rebranded Superfi 4, and this still carries the 606 designation, I would venture that it's a Superfi 4 with ipod controls.  There's a sale right now, where the first 150 orders are half off ($50 US) at Altec Lansing, so good luck if you decide to buy.  Use coupon code muzxultra2010

If they're anything like the Backbeat Pros they appear to be replacing (and share a number of design cues with), they're definitely not worth the full price. For $100, even if you're looking for something with iPod/iPhone controls, you can do better in terms of sound quality and value for the money.
