Great thread, I also want to give BA only iems more chances to persuade me into liking them. This is a thread to discuss, showcase, and compare the many all-BA IEMs out there, both budget and TOTL. This has not been my main area interest, so I’m eager to learn about what’s out there, and the relative strengths and weakness of the IEMs with this technology.
For instance, in general, how do the Tansio Mirai IEMs compare to the Fearless IEMs? How about the new Dunu all-BA IEMs?
They definitely arent popular though, as nearly all recent releases have either been a single DD or a hybrid.
Audiosense DT200
Tansio Mirai TSMR 3-pro
ThieAudio Voyager 3
Dunu Studio SA3
Shanling AE3 (upcoming)
Hisenior B5/T2/B8
Toneking T4
Brainwavz B400
What more are there in the more cheaper range?

The ones i'm keeping my eyes open for are:
SeeAudio Vantina 10
Tansio Mirai TSMR8
BGVP DM8
Leisurely Audio L8 / L12
But yeah, pretty much no info about these IEMs!

Isn't the ER2XR a DD?

There seems to be 3 main BA sources, Knowles, Sonion and Bellsing and then there are non-vented and vented types for them. Chi-fi usually uses Bellsing or Knowles, but we rarely see sonion being used. The upcoming Shanling AE3 is going to use 3 sonion BA´s so that might change things going forward.
(ER2XR is a DD btw)

Ive tried the A8, S8, S8F, S8Z, Voyager 14, TSMR4 Pro, and other stuff like BGVP DM6, DM7. Thieaudio V3. Prolly others im forgetting.
Out of those my favs are A8 (you cannot tell no DD), TSMR4 Pro, V14, S8Z.
Mostly comes down to bass for all BA sets. Is it gonna give you the low end you desire?
Im a MASSIVE fan of the Mid-driver Sonion BA. Wooo boy, those are some tastey BA.

You can pick up an older-gen Campfire Audio Andromeda for around $600. If you’re patient you can find a used Andromeda 2020 for around $900. Can’t have a topic about all-BA IEMs without mentioning this legendary IEM.
With that said, I think it’s important to keep in mind non-“chi-fi” companies as well & preventing this thread from becoming “another chi-fi thread”. Granted “chi-fi” has come a long way, with many IEMs keeping pace and even outperforming similarly or higher-priced IEMs from the“big boys”

Some of the best mids I've heard are on the FIBASS.

It’s a work in progress. I updated the example photos. I think it’s better and more balanced now. In general, the Chi-Fi camp and the more established brands are very separate, and are unfortunately not compared against each other enough. In fact, one comparison I’m really interested in is the Fearless S8Z vs the 64 Audio A6t or A/U12t. I’m interested in getting an extremely fast (all frequencies) IEM, that’s well balanced, for metal primarily. With that said, I think it’s important to keep in mind non-“chi-fi” companies as well & preventing this thread from becoming “another chi-fi thread”. The S8Z is super good for Metal with the exception that the low end is a bit thin. I add a hair of eq at 40hz and bam, thats the sound!

Thanks. Truthfully, I’m a little more interested in the S8F, because of more bass, and being $100 less, though if not for price, I’d probably go for the Z.The S8Z is super good for Metal with the exception that the low end is a bit thin. I add a hair of eq at 40hz and bam, thats the sound!

What about this?

Seems like potentially a great deal. Six BA drivers. I like not having the price of an IEM boosted up by fancy packaging and presentation. This is half the price of the stock LIme Ears Aether R.

I have always found issues with all-BA sets (mostly tonality related + DD bass is hard for me to give up), but I also look forward to seeing what others have to say in a dedicated thread like this. I rarely open product-specific threads once I realize it's for an all-BA set, so I'll subscribe to this pone and follow along, keeping my mind open to perhaps improvements in tech and tuning.

Nice! Now if only my ears would accept universals and if only I wasn't on sick leave right now (half pay) I might have gone for that! Edit or notWhat about this?

"Note: The Aether R Essential does not ship with a cable or eartips". Seems a bit cheap to at least not have a basic plastic cable and tips to get going with. It's still a $600 iem after all.
On the subject of polish iems, Custom Art are another all ba company who deserve mention in this thread. Good designs, reasonable prices and top notch customer services.
