This is my first post in this excellent Forum. I have been designing and comparing speakers for over 50 years -in an amateur way- and my only contact with earphones had been, time ago, with some Sennheiser HD 424 which I liked.
Recently I bought a pair of AKG K44 that seemed to me very bass heavy and a few days ago I bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 518 thinking that such a prestigious brand in that middle price would make a fine product -very praised by almost anyone-. But I was puzzled to find it was as bass heavy as the AKG!
The radio and tv male voices are very chesty and unatural and the music clearly over blown in the bass.
But if I forget about flat resposes and all that... the fact is I'm enjoying all kind of music CDs, Youtube, etc. What is happening to me?
