My stock AKG K271 cable isn't long enough, at 10 ft, to reach from my headphone amp to my couch, so I plugged the end of the stock cable into an extension cable. However, I'd love to have a single cable solution so I don't have such a long length of cable that I have to wind up after every listening session and an extra interface to subtly degrade the signal. So I'm looking for a replacement cable that's at least 12 ft long, long enough to connect end-to-end from my AKG to my amp. However, I'm having a very hard time finding such a thing. All the AKG and aftermarket cables (non-coiled) I can easily find are only 10 ft long. It seems that not many people make mini-XLR to TRS cables. I've seen a few discussions about building your own cables, but I'd much rather buy one that someone already built for me. Does anyone know where I can buy such a cable? High quality, but not snake-oil, manufacturers are preferred (Mogami, Belden, Canare, etc.).

I did some searching around a while ago and found this. You can actually order them in custom lengths.

I can't vouch for the site, but maybe someone else can.

EDIT: They also have one with a 1/8" jack.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if this is a Canare cable?
