I was wondering if the AKg K240's had enough soundstage to be used as a gaming headset. I am hoping to make these my first real headphones and wanted something that i could use for gaming but also use for music and movies or whatever else

which k240? there are bazillion variants for the k240
 
but i doubt they are good for gaming since they are headphones for monitoring in studios
 
most, if not, all k240 variants are:
-somewhat bass light
-soundstage is not big
-everything sounds right infront of you
-pads tend to get hot in a short period of time using it
-somewhat uncomfortable

I think i was looking at the 600ohm studio model but if they have no sound stage...

What would you recomend for under $100 for gaming and music?

Decided on buying k240studio and then investing in buying an AD700 even though they are ugly as sin... Guess you cant get the best of everything at entry level prices...
