Yes, READ a few pages back. Momentums and UE6000's are no competition for these. And no, they don't sound like a DJ can, but like a $500+ audiophile can.

This isn't to say that they aren't very good headphones, and they look stylish as well. It's just that to me they seemed to bring poorly recorded tracks up to a better level and higher quality tracks down to a lower level at the same time.
 
They were also, imho, useless when trying to remix. The bass response is just too slow for me. I couldn't tell when a track was slipping until almost too late on more than one occasion. I have no such problems with the K167's.
 
I have had the K167's for 4 days now and I immediately noticed the high frequency detail vs the Momentums. I can also hear suble things more clearly (eg on recordings you can hear fingers sliding across acoustic guitar strings clearly and you can even hear the rebound off the bottom of a snare drum on jazz tracks). I guess revealing is a word you could use to describe them.
 
Of the headphones I've tried recently (and there have been some dogs), these are the most open, revealing, and comfortable. The sound isolation is great, I can drive them off portable devices. Most of my listening is done off a Macbook (native sound card), a Behringer mixer or a Hercules mixer. I can't notice an appreciable difference between the headphone out on the behringer vs the macbook.
 
As others have posted here, the burn in is dramatic. My first reaction was "great highs! Where's the bass??" But after a couple of days using and burning, the bass is very present, and as I said, really tight. This headphone is a winner for me.
 
I may get K267's eventually, but I'm really happy with these right now.

6. Sony XBA3 (IEM, I still have these, they are my go to IEM's)

The treble is simply amazing, Its very crystal clear and detailed. Vocals sound so rich and smooth- and extremely accurate. Bass is alright, not boomy at all.

No competition eh.  I find the Momentum's very, very good and the UE's pretty good too, so I hope you're right.  I just hope the 267's are better than the 167 then.  So close to buying these, so close.  So far, there's like four people who have these?  Maybe some more impressions will show up soon.

   The jump in sonic sound from K67 to K167 is pretty high, so I would expect the K267 to have more depth considering it has a bigger driver but thats about it... I think its basically more money for a 10MM larger driver + the sound variation switches.... though at a pretty $350 it has some more competition.

More depth and maybe a bit better separation. Not to mention more bass in Stage mode.

Sometimes the jump to the higher end model isn't necessarily better so I'm on the fence since these are so well received and cost difference is substantial enough.  I do like the options the 267's provide though to wait it out I think.  I wish I could audition them.

Still a bit early to be certain, but if I had to choose, it'd be the K167. The better fit alone makes for more consistent sound. They do share some similarities. Both clear and detailed but brighten the sound a bit to accomplish this.

Well, for me there are only 2 minor negatives compared to my old Denon D2000.

• Comfort is not as good as the D2000 (which were like pillows on my head). After a few hours I need break, I didn't have that problem with the D2000.
• Build quality is not super, I already had an issue with the headband, as shown on my little video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=643TML2WCxQ - but I managed to exchange them, and the new ones don't have that issue, and we've seen other reports about build quality.
