I bought this Sola linear regulated PSU - here's the eBay link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=120165141793

I connected it up, it works fine. Sound? In a word, it sucks. Kind of slow, veiled, underpowered, vaguely gutless, smeared details etc. It just sounds wrong. Running on batteries the Aikido sounded great, I just don't want two car batteries in my bedroom/home office y'know?

Can anyone tell me what I'm up against here? I know these psu's weren't designed for audio, but....they do claim "[size=x-small]Low noise, extremely quiet DC output for noise sensitive or analog circuitry."

(this is the unit, with specs if you click the pdf file - http://www.solaheviduty.com/products...silverline.htm )

Ok, let me check around a bit, I think something may be wrong with my T amp..it's making a lot of noise even with the Aikido powered off. Fun...
