I bought this Sola linear regulated PSU - here's the eBay link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=120165141793
I connected it up, it works fine. Sound? In a word, it sucks. Kind of slow, veiled, underpowered, vaguely gutless, smeared details etc. It just sounds wrong. Running on batteries the Aikido sounded great, I just don't want two car batteries in my bedroom/home office y'know?
Can anyone tell me what I'm up against here? I know these psu's weren't designed for audio, but....they do claim "Low noise, extremely quiet DC output for noise sensitive or analog circuitry."

(this is the unit, with specs if you click the pdf file - http://www.solaheviduty.com/products...silverline.htm )
