Bonjour

Quelques musiques utilisées > Mylène Farmer > State Azure > Tangerine dream > Myrkur > Diana Krall > Lana del Rey > Maria Mena...

I still have to try on Shanling M9 and Sony TA-ZH1ES

So what tips are you referring to? What’s the difference between the P5 tips you’re talking about and the P8 tips?
The P8 comes with red and blue tips, but only S size and the rest are black silicone tips.

The P5 has those red and blue tips in all sizes s/m/l and because the S are too small for me, I'm using the M red/blue from the P5. For me those are the best sounding with both Performer, bass is tighter, sound is more open and the midrange really shines with those IMO.

So it’s the same tips, just with the 5 you’re saying you get more size choices?

The red/blue that came on my P8 fit me just fine. They are the same tips you’re talking about, but just a different size?

This is correct. The ones you're using are the right one. For me they are just too small and can't get a good seal.

Have you tried any aftermarket tips? Like SpinFit or anything?

I cannot get a seal even on large stock tips, but JVC spiral dots are better for me anyway...

Yep, SpinFit CP145, Azla SednaEarfit, final and some other tips
And you say the stock ones are better or just as good?

I’m not saying you’re wrong, by the way. I put SpinFit W1’s on last night and couldn’t hear any difference. I’ll probably go back to the stock tips.

For me the stock tips (red/blue) actually sound better with my music than the other ones I've tried. I think because of the the bore size and the silicone stiffness they just act like nozzle extension direct in the ear canal, without changing the sound much.
The spinfits for example were somewhat duller sounding and the bass was not so tight. I've been using them for a long time with other IEM's, but for the Performer I prefer the stock ones, although the spinfits are more comfortable than the stock ones.

Sounds good.

Man those P8 are so addictive, I just can't stop listening to them. They're in my ears all the time and wife already complains that she can't talk with me anymore. :dt880smile:
I just listened to Bach’s Flute Partitas on the way to work. Due to the treble extension, I had an illusion that the sound is from the outside and had to double check whether I was blasting the music from my phone :dt880smile:

I intended to say “best value”, but then to think about it, with all the advances in IEM technology, this should be the fair price we expect. Besides some complaints about rhe soundstage, I can’t think of any problem.

Currently listening to some Opeth on the P8’s.

I feel like the top end has calmed down a little bit over my week with them.

I don’t like the stock tips at all. I use spinfit W1 and xelastec.
Same, I think the P5 had slightly better tips.
Yea, I think they are going to blow up big time once more people get their hands on them. They are very good.
I really like my set, I really think they are good. They will get big. Not many main stream reviewers have them outside of Zeos and Timmy.
Have you tried any aftermarket tips? Like SpinFit or anything?
I like the CP 145 spinfits

In the house they look so amazing.
Time to burn in and then do some listening.
Going to be a Interesting comparison to the HIsenior Mega 5P that's now down to to under $250
