Right driver is head.

I personally found them to be a little bright for my tastes but I think she liked them as a step up from her iBuds.

Suggestions on a replacement costing less than $100?

Edit: Some of my initial suggestions might be...

ATH-CK7 (anything else from them?)
Klipsch Image S4
Beyerdynamic DTX 80
Sennheiser CX-300 II

I should add that style plays at least a small role as she is a woman of course.

Otherwise, she prefers decent but not super isolation. She wants to be able to hear a little bit of her surroundings.

I hadn't thought to look into that...

Not sure if I have a receipt anywhere...just a credit card statement.

Why not try another pair?

Otherwise, the ety MC series looks fairly sleek, and has (from indirect experience) something of the same sound signature. If she really likes bling, the original Turbines are different but not bland.

About the Senns, from what I've read I'd recommend a pair with a non-zero digit for the tens (i.e. 250). They're newer models IIRC and the sound is more refined and balanced even if they cost less.

all you need is the paypal receipt or if you have any kind of proof that it was within the last year replacement will be easy. I'd give them an email as well as search for your email for a receipt of some kind.

I found the Amazon.com sales receipt, made a PDF copy, and just sent Head-Direct an email, and we'll see what happens.

Thanks.
