Hi

I have Pixel USB C headset which is very much compatible with my pixel 3 without any issues. But obviously sound quality is very poor

On the other hand I have Brainwavz B400 which is very good in sound quality and it has mmcx connector. I tried using with Shure RMCE-USB and iBasso DC01, though sound quality is very good its not convenient as pixel usb c cable for calls and messages (pixel usb c headset can respond to whatsapp messages as well)

Now my thought is If there is any way to cut and remove earbuds from pixel 3 usb c cable and then attach a mmcx connector for B400?

Could any one provide me advise on this?

Yes, you would need some soldering skills and a pair of mmcx connectors. Maybe a hot glue gun or e8000 glue and some heat shrink as well.

You can find pairs of mmcx connectors for this purpose on AliExpress to mod the cable once you've removed the earphones.

If you dont get the phase right it will sound weird and you will have to resolder one side.
