Looking for a pair of speakers for under $350 to complement my D5000s. Now when I say complement, I want the sound to still be fun to listen to and musical, but preferably with a quite different sound signature.

Would the KRK RP-5 fit the bill, or do they have a fairly boring signature? I ask because that's really the only speakers I know of in that price range that I know are high quality.

I've got two pair of KRK's...a pair of the RP-6 Special Yellow edition that Guitar Center was blowing out last year..I paid $250 for the pair...I'm using them with a Maverick TubeMagic dac/pre...and love the sound. I loved them so much I bought a pair of the Rokit 8's for my Home Theater main system, I think Bang for the buck it's hard to beat! Plus Guitar Center is having a sale right now..buy one get one Half off..FYI
