As far as fairly new releases go that I think stack up with some of the best ever, I think Indiana by John McLaughlin is one of the BEST albums by a singer songwriter in a very long time. I highly recommend it. If you like bands like Coldplay and Keane, you really ought to check this one out.

wonderful suggestion! only thing is, i already have this album... it is great! i actually ran into it when looking for ghost in the shell ost's... track 8 is my fave!
