A Weiss DAC2 or a W4S DAC2?

I can't comment on the W4S But I had a couple of weeks of playing with the Weiss. Calling it an upgrade to the HDR wouldn't be my choice of words. I had the HDR for a while and score it above the Weiss in terms of accuracy. Bass is hard to find in the HDR1 and the sound can be a bit sharp. But if you replace the opamps inside the HDR for something like a bit warmer from the AD82X range then you'll show the Weiss a clean pair of heels.
I sold my HDR after changing the opamps and had a friend bugging me to slel it to him after he heard it.

Seems like hdr is a little monster with a lot of potentials

. Actually, since I'm using the hiface evo set then the firewire connection on the Weiss seems to be no use at all~~
