8/16 Core Cables and Running

The more cores your cable has, the less resistance so I don't see any problem running 16 cores at all. My IEM cable I would guess has hundreds of multi-sized strands or cores that help lower its resistance.

I meant more on the grounds of jogging. Does anyone have an issue with the cable weight, or the thickness of the cable around the ears?

I wouldn't want a heavier cable for running. My EA Octa cable is moderately heavy for stationary purposes, let alone running where it would pull away my IEMs out of my ear on a short run. I would suggest putting a shirt clip if you need the heavy cables for running
