After switching my LCD-2F to balanced to run from the Oppo HA-1, I needed an extension cable. 4-pin balanced, M on one end F on the other. These are hard to find, and the ones I do find are expensive ($100 and up).
I contacted the folks at Blue Jeans Cable and they made me a custom cable for about $50, using connectors and cable of top quality. It was built the right way, the first time, and I find it sonically transparent.
There is no part # as it is a custom thing. If you want one just email sales@bluejeanscable.com. Tell them how long you want it and they'll give you a quote. The cable is Canare L-4E6S and the connectors are Neutrik NC4MXX-B (male) and NC4FXX-B (female).
I have no business relationship with them other than being a happy customer. Thought I'd share so other headphone enthusiasts can find a great cable at a good price, cheaper than alternatives I could find.
