I currently have 2 headphones: Yuin PK3's, Grado Sr80's and I had some JVC's, but they broke.
 
I need a new over-ear set which I will use for movies and music. I use either my ipod/iphone or computer, I dont own an amp.
Also, I'd like to use these at school in the library, so they need to isolate and keep most of the sound in. Something portable and not giant.
I'd like to spend under $70
 
I'm very heavily leaning towards the Koss DJ Pro 100's but some reviews say they NEED an amp. I'd consider paying a little more and getting the Phiaton MS300/400 if they are really that much better.
 
Are there any other headphones out for the price that would beat the Koss? What do you recommend?

Anyone else with suggestions? I went to best buy today and they were out of the Pro 100's.

I see no reason to not get the Pro100s.  The reviews put them at a solid pair of headphones.
