128GB is 128 Gigabits,

No, 128Gb is 128 Gigabits (note the lowercase "b" - Which is 16 Gigabytes

Sorry about the one-liner message. Didn't realize i hit the send button by mistake. Most manufacturers state GB in their products, but in reality the actual capacity is less. That is when I learned that it is Gb (gigabits) they use instead of GB (gigabytes) when expressing storage capacity. Even expandable memory follows the same Gb capacity, as opposed to GB.

The prefix gibi (symbol Gi) represents multiplication by 10243

The prefix giga means 109 in the International System of Units (SI), therefore one gigabyte is 1000000000bytes. The unit symbol for the gigabyte is GB.

128,000,000 ÷ 1,024 ÷ 1,024 = 122.0703125
64,000,000 ÷ 1,024 ÷ 1,024 = 61.03515625
32,000,000 ÷ 1,024 ÷ 1,024 = 30.517578125
16,000,000 ÷ 1,024 ÷ 1,024 = 15.2587890625

Are these still sites on the net that review audio players and measure output impedance?
Goldenears, for example, appears to have stopped reviewing source gear in 2013.

Just got my 128GB Version today. Sound is basically like the 5G, which is a good thing. And it runs smoother and is more fluid in Menus.

tried one in store and it's fluid and smooth like the iphone6 in an itouch5th gen body which is a plus for me as it would be too big to be called an ipod anymore if it has a 5" screen..

It's still the best portable player out there. But the notion of adding more junk to the ui is wrong. All the music we add to the iPod is what we 'love', so why do we have to love it again. There is a new love icon in iTunes when you use it by the computer. It's just getting weirder.
I just don't like these new gimmicks on software and adding these features which has no use.
i agree on the bloatware part, the only thing im really after is the capacity and the thinness of the ipod..and also i noticed with ios8.4 music app where some albums won't show up on "albums" anymore, you have to select "compilation" all the time unlike the old way that regardless if it is a "compilation" like certain movie soundtracks it will still show up on "Albums" the album name of that compilation,if you get what i mean..so annoying having to switch from "Album" to "Compilation" just to see my songs or "Artists"..and that is with using iPhone6, i figure it is similar to iTouch as it runs on basically the same iOS version as my wife is having similar issues on her 5th gen iTouch..

Agreed, but this was not the iTunes we saw in the older models and versions. Buying an app defeats our purpose as we have to waste money on another purchase.

At least one has many software options, most are less than $5 or $10.
