Just when I thought some sellers are asking way too much for their vintage PCPDs along comes someone who really takes the cake:

He even posts a link to this site for reference. What is this guy thinking, does he seriously believes that there will be any takers?

"I prefer a celebrity or rockstar musician buying this" - Sweet!

I didn't know the 211 had such a good rep? Never came across one.

Like "the best sounding portable CD player ever made in history". Yeah. Sure buddy. $2500, but he will have to open the box to test it before it is sent to you, cause' ya know, "you don't want a DOA $2,500 product".

Sure. The box was opened back in the 90's probably.

So, is the D-211 the best sounding portable CD player ever made in history? According to what consensus? When the player is using battery power or the AC adaptor? Using Headphone out or line out? Amped or not? If so what Amp? What headphones? What headphone cable upgrade? How many hours burn in on the cans? What CD, how old and what quality of mastering? And how about the ears of the individual

Whatever.

the 211's headphone out sounds pretty damn good IMO. But . . not $2500 good.

Even if one of the 0s was removed, I think the seller would be stretching it.

This pwns any of the outrageous DCP-150 ebay ads I've ever seen.

Wow...you'd think the least he could do is offer free shipping on it.
