i was comparing my V8 to A12 .... definitely a significant difference, the A12 got more wide soundstage but less bass...

Not a fair comparison though since the sound signature of the A12 is not mean't to be similar as the V8

i agree...but thinking of jumping to Adel tech as claimed to protect our ears...BUT i may try the A8 as the drivers config is the same as V8...

I'll be heading to the 1964 Lab to pick up my customs tomorrow (Friday) and if you'd like, I can see if they'll let me demo the V8 and A8/ any other models if people are interested and report back with my findings. It may not be perfect or the most accurate, since it will only be a demo, but I could at least let everyone know if there are any really big differences.

As a suggestion, you might call them today and give them a heads up about wanting to demo other gear - so they can set aside some time to get things set up for you.

Just got off the phone with 64. I'll be able to try the A2-4,and any v series for sure. I forgot to ask about the A8/10/12, but it sounded like they have those available as well. I guess I better bring a notebook for impressions!!!

That's the same reason I didn't buy the A10, too poor that's also why I didn't try it at the meet, because I figured if I heard it, I might want it too much, even though I wouldn't have been able to afford it...
