Just joined the kickstarter on these. Typically this would be way too early to start a dedicated thread, but one of our most respected members already has a review out, so I guess it's time to start the discussion.

Not only is it 1964's new flagship, it also has the all-new-super-cool Adel technology.

So the Kickstarter has ended. Who else jumped in on these, especially after joker's review? Also, I'm a first time kickstarter. Can someone tell me what I should expect next?

To not get your item within the originally promised time frame.

Wow, iQube. That was my first ever Hifi amp. I wish it had better batteries though- doesn't charge any longer. What a great, neutral sounding amp.

Anyway, I'm hoping 1964- with their experience selling to the masses, and having now outsourced the U series production, will be able to hit their timelines more accurately.

That being said, Feb 2015 is rather early. Even if it's delayed a bit, I don't mind..

So I've been checking out their customs. They're nice, but they're not Wizard nice. Anyone know if we can give them some wizard designs to copy? :)

Here's 1964's twitter feed with many designs:

Alternatively I may want to copy some of their existing designs. This one looks sweet:

You won't see Wizard level of craftsmanship your A12s- however to see what will be available on the A12s, check out the IEM customizer currently available on 1964s site. All those options are supposedly available on the A12s.

Thanks. I got these pictures from 1964's own Twitter. So I'm sure they can be done..

I just got a great update from Vitaliy that I thought I'd share.

I asked him two questions:

1) what size will the A12 demos be, specifically comparing to the V8 demo and the universal Roxanne;
2) if the sound from the custom and demo will be the same.

His answer:

The A12 demo will be slightly bigger than the V8 demo set. [vs the universal Roxanne] The size will be MUCH smaller. There is a lot of wasted space in the Uni-roxanne. The sound will be the same as custom.

Hope this helps those who, like me, are getting the A12 demo!

I'm interested in these demos-how does one go for the A12 demos? How much are they? Curious...

Doctorjazz my friend, their kickstarter campaign just ended a week or so ago. They seem to be ready to re-introduce soon though at an introductory price (they actually sent out an email but then recalled it). Stay tuned!

Thanks, I know they ended the Kickstarter, but reading the posts it sounded like they have demos left from it selling ata discount. Wishful thinking on my part, I suppose. Anyway, Merry Christmas all, and to all some great listening!

In this case, they're using 'demos' interchangeably with 'universals'... So the 'demos' are actually personalised, hand-made universals, for those who don't want customs :)

Merry Christmas my friend!

OK, thanks jelt2359, hope these babies sound even better than expected (and I expect great sound), again, Merry Christmas to you and yours, and to all the good little audiophiles out there enjoying or anticipating their new toys!
