Looking to spend around $100 on some decent headphones. They will be used for gaming and music. I listen to pretty much everything (Mozart to Death Metal).
 
What would the experts tell me to get?
 
I do not have an amp. They will be plugged in to my PC sound card.

I got the Sony MDRV6 and they sound pretty good for gaming and also music. I also listen to a wide variety of music from musicals to dubstep.
 
I play BF Bad Company 2, and they sound crisp!

I was originally going to get the AD700's but I saw a few bad reviews for them and that scared me off a little bit. Are the reviews I was looking at legit?

Second on the AD700s. She was my first and she was good to me for a long time.
Alternatively the A900's or so if you want a closed back experience, but I suggest the 700's.
