I would like to send my unit #120 back to Cavalli to have the power supply replaced under warranty. I feel the first 500 have been seriously devalued otherwise.

It has been devalued, but that happens every time you buy anything. Cavalli does not owe it to you to keep the amp the same. In fact you got the amp for $200 less.

Well maybe you can sell your amp for $800 on ebay and then order a new one.

The biggest issue I had with the LC (first run variant now I suppose) was the lack of sub-bass impact with the HE560 balanced. There was bass but during swelling passages it rolled too early really killing some symphony tracks for me.. wonder if the new PSU used on the 2nd gens will solve this. As well as the less noise from the SE out of course.

Also as your now including a powercable, will you be sending out the correct plug for each country it's being sent too? A US cord is no use in England
