    Broken Sennheiser PX 200II

They're not really broken, but the volume control has a scratchy noise whenever it's turned, and also one side is always quieter than the other. Any way to fix this? Unfortunately, I cannot find my proof of purchase, so it's not available for warranty.

Suggestions for supra-aural, closed-back, under $50 cans with decent isolation and comfort?

Hey everyone, I'm looking to pick up some headphones for my girlfriend as a gift. She's no audiophile (knows pretty much nothing about it), but I have started replacing her music collection with higher quality copies, and I'd like to introduce her to the world of higher-quality sound. She's used...

Portable, closed headphones adequately driven by iPod touch for under $50

Hello, I'm a first poster on Head-Fi, but I've read up quite a bit in my quest for my ideal portable headphone (ljokerl's portable headphone shootout was invaluable in my search).   For starters, I currently have bargain-bin headphones scooped up for $10-15 each at Marshalls or TJMaxx...

    PX200 II thread.

Because the Porta Pros have one dang it.   I am getting to where I almost can't listen to another pair. When I first got these, I wasn't too impressed with the sound. But after a year and even a plug being replaced, I've warmed up to the sound so much. Such a natural, detailed, and airy...

    Need help finding better headphones

I badly need a better pair of headphones.  I currently use Bose IE2's, and while I think they sound great, they constantly fall out of my ear whenever I do any athletic activity.  I really only wear them when I'm running or at the gym, and I have to constantly adjust them or put them back in my...

Does the removal of the cloth from an earpad of a headphone mean that the risk of damaging the driver is increased?

So i took my Senn Px200-II's earpads, and removed the cloth bit inside, using scissors, in the hopes that it's clarity will improve. Now, it sounds a bit clearer and stuff, but i'm now worried that dust and other materials can now get into bits of the driver, and damage it. Will this happen...

    The original PX 200 > PX 200iis.

I have both...needless to say. Anyway, I had the original PX 200s first. Then I ended up getting the 200 iis in Poland. I came across a shop dedicated to selling nothing but headphones in the town of Katowice. They had the 200 iis, so I got them.    I've been doing some side by side...

Hi!   I have been searching around these forums for a while, and although there's a few threads about closed back phones it normally comes down to HD25s or Beyer DT1350. I used to have HD25s, and they were GREAT headphones, but they weren't VERY portable, and they are also very expensive...
